Denver Arts Events August 24-30

Denver’s local talent is on display this week, allowing us to see works by some of the city’s best musicians, filmmakers, and dancers. If I could enjoy six shows, performances, events, or exhibitions this week, this is what I’d do. Enjoy.

✺ August 27 Enjoy Joanna Rannelli’s award-winning productionPrivate Parts: The Secrets We Keep at The Bug Theatre. 7 p.m. More info and tickets.

✺ August 27-30 Head to the smaller stages to catch a long roster of solid local talent at Tulagi Fest (f.k.a.Boulder Roots Music Fest). More info and tickets.

✺ August 29 & 30 Watch performances from nine local dance companies and performers at the Presenting Denver Dance Festival at the Newman Center.More info and tickets.

✺ August 29 Enjoy the lively sounds of the renowned Preservation Hall Jazz Band at the Arvada Center. 7:30 p.m.More info and tickets.
