Denver Arts Events June 15-21

This week, local artists and producers ask us to reflect on freedom and cycles of darkness and light. If I could enjoy five shows, performances, events, or exhibitions this week, this is what I’d do. Enjoy.

✺ June 18 -21 Get your laughs on a little bit north at the Boulder Comedy Festival at Dairy Arts Center. More info and tickets.

✺ June 19 Juneteenth: A Freedom Celebration, featuring Hazel Miller and The Collective at Northglenn Arts. 5 p.m. More info.

✺ June 20 Celebrate Summer Solstice at an immersive experience that combines music, performances and ritual at To Gladden the Heart: A Summer Solstice Celebration. 8:30 p.m. More info and tickets.

✺ Through July 5 ViewTender Wild, an exhibition of work by Alison Flannery and Colleen Tully at Valkarie Gallery. More info.
