Denver Arts Events June 29-July 5

This week, you can hit the fireworks or do a deep dive into works and exhibitions that celebrate diversity, nature, and revolution (honestly, you could probably swing both). If I could enjoy six shows, performances, events, or exhibitions this week, this is what I’d do. Enjoy.

✺ June 30 Watch a screening of Broadway smash hit Hamilton in O’Kane Park. 6 p.m.  More info and tickets.

✺ July 3 Daniel Weidlein will perform a chamber-jazz performance, From The Ashes, based on the life cycle of fire at Dazzle. 7 p.m. More info and tickets.

✺ July 3 Attend the opening of Where We Roam: A Show for Public Lands, an exhibition showcasing works that celebrate public lands by twenty Colorado landscape artists at Bus Stop Gallery in Boulder. 6 p.m. More info.

✺ July 4 Listen to readings from women and gender diverse poets featured in Screaming at America: An Anthology of Revolution, alongside live music at Poetry on the Porch at History Colorado. 11 a.m. More info and tickets.‍ ‍

✺ July 5 Attend the premiere of Andrea Gibson: Love Letter from the Afterlife, a filming of the former Colorado Poet Laureate’s last reading, alongside performances by the Colorado Symphony, Sara Bareilles, and more at Red Rocks. 7:30 p.m. More info and tickets.

✺  Through July 11 Peruse Bitfactory Gallery’s 5th Biennial Us Exhibition, showcasing LGBTQ+ artists. More info.
