Denver Arts Events July 6-12

Attending just a few events this week will give you exposure to an incredible sampling of Denver-based artists spanning genres. What a delight. If I could enjoy six shows, performances, events, or exhibitions this week, this is what I’d do. Enjoy.

✺ July 10 Celebrate Next Gallery’s 20th Anniversary with an exhibition featuring dozens of local artists who have shaped the space over the years. More info.

✺ July 10-12 Immerse yourself in three days of programming featuring singers, gospel choirs, and dancers at the Colorado Black Arts Festival in City Park. More info and lineup.

✺ July 10 & 11 Laugh your face off with comedian Caitlin Peluffo at Denver Comedy Underground. More info and tickets.

✺ July 11 Los Lo Los will be performing live alongside exhibition Tres Voces, Un Corazón, featuring band founder Cipriano Ortega. Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art (BMOCA). 6 p.m. More info.

✺ July 11 Hopeless Theatre Company performs Cabaret at The Bug Theatre. 7p.m. More info and tickets.

✺ July 6-11 If you happen to be making a trip to Grand Lake this week, you could see Rocky Mountain Repertory Theatre perform Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Urinetown, and Shrek the Musical. More info and tickets.
