Denver Arts Events May 11-17
This week’s list leans a little edgy, and I am here for it. If I could enjoy five shows, performances or exhibitions this week, this is what I’d do. Enjoy.
✺May 13 Listen to Haydn’s Symphony No. 104 in D major and Tommy, the rock opera, at London 1969 as part of Boulder’s Mahler Fest. Boulder Theater. 7:30 p.m. More info and tickets.
✺ May 15 Why not view an award-winning horror movie told mostly through infomercials and newscasts? Watch Buffet Infinity at Dairy Arts Center. 8:30 pm. More info and tickets.
✺May 16 The Wild Bloom at Union Hall is an immersive event that will unfold over the course of three weeks. This week, attendees can enjoy a two-body improvisation, body scan, and patriotic flag retiring ceremony. 6:30 p.m. More info and tickets.
✺ Through May 30 View local filmmaker Stacey Steers’s dreamlike collage work at Robischon Gallery. More info.
✺ Through May 31. If you’re up for a Tony-award-winning musical that has a content warning for adult themes and puppet sexuality, check out Avenue Q at Town Hall Arts Center. More info and tickets.
