Denver Arts Events October 5-11

Local artists spanning genres are on display this week. Whether you want to explore Denver’s zines or see some of the area’s best performers, there is a chance to experience some of the city’s best. If I could attend seven shows, performances, events, or exhibitions this week, this is what I’d do. Enjoy.

✺ October 8 Learn how to create your own zine in a Zine Workshop with the Denver Zine Library at Black Cube Headquarters. 6 p.m. More info and tickets.

✺ October 8 - 10 Enjoy three nights of original written sketch comedy at Denver Sketch Festival at RISE Comedy. More info and tickets.

✺ October 8 Snag one of the last few tickets to Boulder Ensemble Theatre Company’s (BETC) production of The Weir at the Dairy Arts Center.‍ ‍More info and tickets.

✺ October 9 & 10 Catch twenty(!) local dance companies or performers at Convergence at Parsons Theatre in Northglenn. More info and tickets.

✺ October 10 Enjoy an evening of poetry at West Side Books with South Broadway Press. 7 p.m. More info and tickets.

✺ October 11 Celebrate Hotel Allan: 10 year anniversary tour with Allan Rayman at Meow Wolf. Saturday’s show is sold out. 7 p.m. More info and tickets.

✺ Through November 30 View Aaron Lee Sturtz’s exhibition Geologic Time, which explores canyon landscapes through carved ceramic, at Plinth Gallery. More info.
